Marketing Strategy: Three Ways to Bring in More Business from Current Customers.

To grow your business, you need a solid marketing strategy to grow your client database while staying top-of-mind for existing customers. While there is always new business to uncover, capitalizing on your current clients is also a huge piece to the successful business puzzle. Here’s how to make the most out of working with your current clients.

1. Up-Sell: Your products and services are great. Your current customers are already using, enjoying and paying for your products and services, so why not let them know what else you can offer? If you can identify their needs, assess what other products or services they could benefit from and make a helpful suggestion—they’ll likely listen. Something new for them will equate to a sale for you.

2. Stay Top-of-Mind: Clients often use a select product or service because that’s what they needed when they first came to you. They may not know what else you can offer. Stay in front of your current clients by sending emails, mailing out a postcard to inform them about specials, encouraging social media follows for news and updates, or asking them to sign up for your monthly eNewsletter. There are multiple effective, but inexpensive ways you can keep your current clients in the loop and aware about what’s happening with your business. Plus, don’t forget about social media. You can quickly gain awareness by posting consistently on platforms like Facebook and Instagram.

3. Form a Relationship: Customer loyalty not only has to do with a great product or service, but a relationship that gets built along the way. People want to do business with people they trust. If you take the time to get to know your clients, it will benefit you in the long run. Consider a loyalty campaign. People love a good promotion, so whether you’re partnering with online apps or offering a punch card program, give them something good. Everything from a freebie after so many purchases or discounts for visiting you in-store are great places to start.
