WORK.

Company behind a Houston Tex-Mex mainstay orders up fresh marketing amid plans to bring big flavor to small-town Texas.

Palacios Murphy: Restaurant Marketing

Palacios Murphy, whose iconic ARMANDOS restaurant had served its signature Mexican food to Houston for 40 years and counting, sought refreshed marketing — and a go-to support system — during an expansion into Round Top, Texas. Design At Work cooked up a marketing approach that kept the flagship eatery top of mind while generating buzz for Round Top’s newest restaurant options, too.

For ARMANDOS, an updated website highlighting the restaurant's history in Houston — and photos of the food, drink and atmosphere that keep the Houston elite coming back — created an online home that better reflected its dining experience. Meanwhile, revitalized social media efforts, paired with regular email marketing and advertising, created a cohesive look and feel that grabbed attention across the board. A similar strategy came into play with each additional Round Top restaurant — Lulu’s, Mandito’s and Popi Burger, too. Today, whether you’re hungry in Houston or ravenous in Round Top, there’s a Palacios Murphy eatery ready to ease those hunger pangs.

With its chef-curated menus, five-star service and decades of history in Houston, Palacios Murphy was already a staple among everyday Houstonians and local celebrities alike. Now, with its expanded Texas footprint — and expanded marketing efforts, too — the company has entered a new age. Palacios Murphy is poised to continue serving up tantalizing Tex-Mex, artisanal Italian and the best burgers in Round Top — and to take a bigger bite out of whatever opportunities lie ahead.
